Accreditation
Oval Bible College is an independent religious institution that provides theological education strictly through correspondence. We only offer certificate/degrees for the completion of religious education.

Oval Bible College is authorized by the State of Louisiana to grant religious degrees and is accredited by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, Inc.

Degree Programs
Certificate of Biblical Studies
Prerequisite: None
The Certificate of Biblical Studies requires 30 credit hours. Taking 10 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.

Associate Degree Program
Prerequisite: None
The Associate Degree requires 60 credit hours. Taking 20 courses will complete the credit hours. Each course is worth 3 credit hours.

Bachelor Program
Prerequisite: Associate Degree is required.
The Bachelor Program is composed of 120 total credit hours. An Associate Degree earned will be credited toward the degree program.

Master Program
Prerequisite: A Bachelor Degree is required.
The Master Degree requires 30 hours above the Bachelor Degree.
Taking 10 courses above the Bachelor Degree will complete the credit hours. No Thesis is required for the Master Program.

Master of Divinity Program
Prerequisite: A Bachelor Degree is required.
The Master Degree requires 60 hours above the Bachelor Degree.
Taking 20 courses above the Bachelor Degree will complete the credit hours. No Thesis is required for the Master of Divinity Program.

Doctorate Program
Prerequisite: A Master Degree is required.
The Doctorate Degree requires 30 hours above the Master Degree. Taking 10 courses above the Master Degree will complete the credit hours. No Dissertation is required for the Doctorate Program.

Doctorate of Divinity Program
Prerequisite: A Master Degree is required. The Doctorate Degree requires 60 hours above the Master Degree. Taking 20 courses above the Master Degree will complete the credit hours. No Dissertation is required for the Doctorate of Divinity Program.

Faculty
The faculty of OBC is comprised of dedicated individuals who are deeply committed to Christ. They are academically qualified and have deep interest in the proclamation of God's Word.

Credit Transfer
Credit earned at other Biblical schools in Theology or a related field will be accepted toward fulfilling the degree requirements. Copies of degree and transcript are required for evaluation purposes.

Graduation Honors
All credit hours with a passing grade are awarded points based on the level achieved. Honors are determined by the student's cumulative grade point average earned at OBC.

3.95-4.00 - "Summa Cum Laude"
3.75-3.94 - "Magna Cum Laude"
3.50-3.74 - "Cum Laude"

Note: Graduation honors will be noted on the official transcript. There is no on campus graduation. Upon completion of a degree program, the student will receive a degree and a transcript.

Grading System
Oval Bible College issues grades on a 4.0 system. Students must acheive a Quality Point Average of 2.0 or better in order to graduate from any of our programs.
